How the Beasley Foundation Grant Process Works

Our Board reviews applications three times a year, in April, July, and October. Due dates are listed on the application.

To qualify to apply, your organization must have 501c3 status and be located in the Dallas area, as we primarily focus on supporting local nonprofits.

To begin the application process, you will need to create a login for your organization on our website. This will enable you to access the application form, submit necessary documents, and receive updates about your application status.

Once you've created a login you can complete the LOI form. From there we will evaluate whether you and your organization is a good fit for moving onto the full application.

If your LOI is accepted, you can proceed to complete the grant application form. The form will require you to provide detailed information about your organization, its mission, the project or program for which you are seeking funding, and how the grant will contribute to your organization's success. Be thorough and concise in your responses, as this will help our board evaluate your application more effectively.

After submitting your application, our board will review it to determine if your organization aligns with our mission and funding priorities. We will consider factors such as the potential impact of your project, the sustainability of your organization, and the efficient use of resources. This evaluation process may take several weeks, so we appreciate your patience during this time.

Key Considerations for a Successful Application

To increase the likelihood of receiving a grant from The Theodore and Beulah Beasley Foundation, consider the following tips for a strong application:

  • Clearly demonstrate the need for your project or program and the impact it will have on your target community.
  • Showcase your organization's track record of success in implementing similar programs or projects.
  • Provide a detailed budget and timeline for your project, ensuring that the grant funds will be used effectively and efficiently.

Submitting Reports

Once your organization receives a grant from the Beasley Foundation, you will be required to submit periodic progress reports. These reports help us track the impact of our funding on your organization and the community you serve.

By following these steps and adhering to the provided guidelines, your organization can successfully navigate the grant application process with The Theodore and Beulah Beasley Foundation. We are committed to supporting your efforts in making a positive impact on the Dallas community.
